Signed pantograph templates

Our pantograph came with boxes of templates. Most of the templates are of brass, and the patterns are a lot bigger than they will be on the glasses. The sizes of the templates vary, from about 15 x 25 cm to 35 x 45 cm. (And they are heavy!)

All the templates were dirty: they had been sitting in a basement for 30+ years, and below the dust there was some 100 years worth of "work dirt" - many of them had lots of black wax clots, a few had been used to put out fire in the wax pan - most of them have spots and stains, maybe they have had hydofluoric acid spilled on them...
We have cleaned them as best we could, mainly just de-greasing. Then we found that several of them are signed, and, sometimes also dated. We guess that the signatures are the engravers.
We do not know how or where they were made, but we guess that some of them are engraved, some etched, and we guess they were made in Kosta.

Later we will try to make the pictures accessible through this website.
To begin, here is a page with signatures.

Click on a picture for a bigger view - it will also show the whole template.
When/if we find more signatures, we will add them to this page.
